Hi, My name is Rick. I’m 68 years old and have been at CFB for about 9 years. I’ve always been involved in some form of exercise from canoe racing in college to triathlons, marathons, and soccer. I had never done much weight training and definitely not worked with a coach before. The coaches here have helped me improve more than I ever thought possible. I still manage to get a gold star every now and then. I tell people you don’t have to be an elite athlete to do CrossFit. It’s about making small improvements continuously. I have made some great friends who help hold me accountable. A little friendly competition pushes me harder and makes it more fun. My wife says I’m addicted but I don’t know what I would do without CrossFit. Other gyms just don’t hold my interest. I would recommend CrossFit to anyone who wants to get in better shape or stay in shape.
