Featured Athlete – Cassi Raley

My name is Cassi Raley. I am a stay at home mother of 3, and before crossfit  I had never been part of an exercise program before. I was always a naturally thin person, but  after having 3 kids in 5 years, that was not the case anymore. I had finally gotten fed up with myself and accepted the fact that i was not going to loose the weight by sitting on the couch and eating whatever I wanted.  I slowly began to make a few changes in my life. I would jog a little, cut back on the sweets, and other minor things. I managed to lose a little weight.

Then, in December a friend told me about Neal’s class that he was teaching in the park once a week. I decided to try it out, and it was by far the hardest thing I had ever done……but I went back for more!! Shortly after that, Neal opened CrossFit Beaumont and I was able to start working out a few times a week. I started seeing results very quickly. After just 8 classes, I lost an inch in my waist. Now here we are 5 months later and I have gone from a size 6 to a size 2!  Crossfit has also given me the desire to not only want to loose weight but also to live healthier.

I am very suprised that I am so addicted to a fitness program of this extremity, but I really can’t get enough! The atmosphere is great, and I find myself really pushing it to the limit everytime I go. I know crossfit is not for everone, but this is definately the program that works for me!
