WOD 8/29/11

Skill- 2 Rds: Max L-sit. Then accumulate a total of 1 min. of L-sit (on rings or box)

 

For time:

200M run 5 box jumps (24/20), 5 wall ball (20/14), 5 pullups

400M run, 10 box jumps, 10 wall ball, 10 Pull-ups

600M run, 15 box jumps, 15 wall ball, 15 pullups

800M run, 20 box jumps, 20 wall ball, 20 pullups

    Fun WOD… I like it better when the reps decrease instead of increase though :)… 30:20 nice game of chase with Sheree this morning!! Thanks Neal and Nedab for the coaching yesterday I PR my deadlift by 20# and my front squat by 8#.

    Congrats on those PRs, Serennah. You’re coming back! And we were right together today, too! but we DID EVERY METER AND EVERY REP!!!
    I got a 29:26 using 12″box, 10# ball, and BLUE/PURPLE BANDS! Forgot to put up a green so just tried it! Kara put a green up for me, but I never went to it!!

    Welcomed 2 new Roosters, but I didn’t get to speak to them since they were finished and leaving while I was STILL running! (I ain’t ‘shamed!!)

    Some wods look easy on the board then kick your butt. this one looks hard…and still kicks your butt…but is not as bad as it looks.

    I am going to do this one today at school and make my softball kids do it as well. Needless to say I will be a hated coach at the end of this one. I love my job!

    Thanks Sheree, I do have my moments. Did this in 19:59 but had to sub pull-ups with push-ups. No pull up bars at school.

    17:35 Rx. This one wasn’t bad except for the last 800. The first run felt like a short rest between other exercises but that last run is just So different. I hope to see good times later in the day when you get a little shade

    22:06 RX. Felt pretty good until that last run but it’s always nice to RX a WOD. As for the max L-sit, I’d rather not discuss it.

    17:54 rx, The last run in the heat was not so less than fun.

    Clay – If ONLY that was true. Im pretty sure the WOD just called for a 30 inch box that day.

    18:28 RX, this was a bastard of a workout if I do say so myself. However, I needed this more than I thought. Did anybody else have a 600# gorilla on their chest? Lol

    15:29 – Did 5 muscle-ups instead of pull-ups on the first set then pull-ups the rest of the way. 25# on the wall ball.

    didn’t do the L-sit, had to hurry through the workout for an on-ramp class 🙁 my guess is 10-15 seconds…

    it is true…not one of my prouder moments but I was not happy seeing a close replica of kelly since that was the last wod i did which left me hurting still . with that being said happy with my time but not happy about my long walk. and yes i do need to go harder
