 WOD 9/14/11

Overhead Squats – Find your 10 rep max

5 Lowers from an inverted hang on the rings between each set. To complete one rep hang upside down from the rings and slowly lower yourself down mixing between lowering yourself forward and backward. To scale this movement tuck your knees in close to your body. If you’re not comfortable doing this simply hang from the pull-up bar, pull your legs up as high as possible, and lower them as slowly as you can.

    11:58 RX, pretty disappointed with that time. I was on track to keep my time in the 9’s, but was just gassed on the pull ups and that slowed me down majorly.

    @ Jay and JJ- why fight? They’re both 10’s. Also, I’d like to add…… I think Iceland Annie is nice too. I’m 6’1″ so her being tall doesn’t threaten me. The fact that she could probably kick my @$$ does though.

    I’ll be watching it again. My wife caught me watching the live broadcast on the computer. She thought I was watching porn but it was just the womens beach competition.

    WOD 9:58 had to sub Russian swings for pull ups so my time doesn’t mean anything but man I underestimate those thrusters on this WOD everytime

    Hardy – I tried explaining to her that it was an elite athletic competition but about that time the camera man focused in on a rear view of one of the women doing air squats. I told her that the guys workout just ended but I don’t think she bought it.

    this was a tough one for me! 11:46 Rx the weight but used blue band (and purple on some too..) I noticed that we did this my first week here this summer so this is a great one to start with and end with. And I beat my time by a minute! but only with the help of everyone cheering me on. love all you CFBers!
