The Fittest Of The Fit

 In WOD

WOD 8/13/12

15 minutes Tall Clean Practice

The tall clean is the third “pull” of the clean, when the athlete is pulling themselves under the bar. It begins with the lifter standing tall with no bend in the knees; some coaches will start the movement with flat feet and others on the toes. From this tall position, the lifter begins transitioning the feet from the pulling to receiving positions while pulling under the bar aggressively to receive it in the full front squat position.  The focus is speed under bar, using light weights.

3 rounds for time of:

7 Hang Squat Cleans @ 155/105#
21 Burpees
35 Double-Unders

After a month being gone I’ll be back at it today. This should be fun?

Welcome back, Mike. You’ll beat my time today for sure. 13:35 @115 lbs, 21 and 35 DU’s). Felt slow today/hot. Where were all the dudes today? I was the only guy amongst 10 ladies at today’s 11:30 am class. That’s a first. You better not post that photo, Lucy, unless I was sucking in my oversized belly. 🙂

My lunchtime entry didn’t go in. I’ll try again. 13:35 @ 115 lbs, 21 and 35 DU’s. I was the only guy in the 11:30 am class with about 10 folks. That was a first. Don’t post that group photo of the 11:30 am class, Lucy, unless my gut was sucked in enough, okay? Make sure I look skinny.

Nice job JJ, even if you were all jacked up on cokes and candy.

16:14 and I agree with Clint about the DU’s. The weekend in San Antonio didn’t help, but I sure love barbeque and mexican food.
