WOD 2/14/13

“Love Story”

 

With a partner:

200 Singles (because you start single)

800m Run (then you go out together)

50 Planking High Fives on each arm (then you ask for their hand)

400m Run  (you don’t go out as often anymore)

50 Partner Wall Ball (20/14) (you take turns with the little one)

200m Run (that little one is really taking away from you’re going out time!)

50 Thrusters combined (95/65) (the little one grew up and is too big to throw overhead)

400m Run (retired, time to get start getting out again)

50 Deadhang Pull-Ups combined (til death do us part)

800m Run (you’re old and you need the exercise)

200 singles (this is a penalty if you and your partner “separated” somewhere during the workout, so STAY TOGETHER AND YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO THEM!)

    If a guy and girl partner up he will scale down to her med ball weight for the partner wall ball. They can use separate barbells for the thrusters.

    And to make an even more intimate partner experience don’t use any bands for the deadhangs just have your partner press you up as you pull!

    I met a great partner this morning (5am). Sherin (sp. sorry) was the best. Thanks for the push. We survived in 37min and some. I agree with Sheree it was a “Nightmare of MLK.” lol

    Zack and I did the workout RX in 23:49. Kara always says, despite being married to our wives, the 2 of us are like Paul Rudd and Jason Segal in what she calls the “bromance” movie – I Love You, Man.

    22:42 RX with Johnny. He was a loner at the 6:30pm class so I jumped in with him. Just like the title of today’s blog said to, he crushed it!

    29:58 with Allie. We RXed the weights but used bands on the pull ups. This was so much fun!! Our second Thursday in a row to do a partner wod together. I think we should definitely do it more often! So fun.

    Scott lol. I’ve never even seen that movie. I just say you have a bromance. I’m really happy for you that you got to do this wod with him. I’m sure it made your day haha
