Snatch – Work up to a heavy single

 

AMRAP in 12 minutes:

400m Run

with remaining time AMRAP of

1 Snatch + 2 Overhead Squats (65-75% of heaviest single)

10 Bar Hops

20 Russian Twists w/ Med Ball (20/14)

    125 lbs; 6 rounds 95 lbs, 20 lbs. Shocked Krystal beat me in the 400. Good on her. Couldn’t shake around 250-300, and then couldn’t keep up. Next time, Krystal. 🙂 Fun 5 am class with Aaron and the rest of the 5 am gang as always.

    73# snatch. Thought it may be a pr but I found where I did 75# one time. Should have gone for the 78#. Gotta learn to push myself harder.
    Got 4 rds (40#–I could snatch 65-75% but not ohs it) + the snatch, ohs, and bar hops of rd 5. Ran a mile for cash out.
    If the “stink factor” is any indication, I had a great work-out. Apologies to anyone who had to be close to me toward the end!

    115# snatch & OHS/20# med ball
    7 rds + 5 russian twist

    Great to see a full 5 am class.

    stopped at 115# on snatch, coming back from hurt arm gotta be careful. 6 rounds @95#, 20#. Scott, sorry I was laughing so hard, but the look on your face was priceless as Krystal smoked that butt. I think you’ll be hard pressed to deal with that. I could tell leaving the gate those wheels had some grease.

    Special Kay WOD: 5 (20#) Dumbbell press, 10 pullups (green and purple), and 15 Russian twists w/ 15# medicine ball. 6 rds plus 5 dumbbell press

    Struggled with the skill work. Failed multiple times at 155#

    7 rounds + 10 hops at 125#

    175# power snatch then stopped. Overhead started getting too tight on shoulder. 225# power clean and front squatson wod instead. 5 rounds plus 1 clean
