So would thrusters count as a squat clean an jerk?

a clean and jerk and thruster are 2 different movements. you’ll have to start from the ground each one of these. besides, you arent going to get very far trying to thruster 155# for 60 seconds.

I was about to say this workout could be a disaster. Thanks for clearing that up Clayton

if this was a crossfit open workout cody, they would count a thruster. Reminds me of the terrible workout from last year.

Clayton is right. But for this workout you can just do a squat clean into thruster each for each rep, but it gets tough.

Jacob – I was thinking about that workout when I programmed this one.

Not much of a sprinter, but I did pick up the pace a little. I need this kind of work.

9,8,6,6,6 for total of 35 rx. Number six on last round took me three attempts.

Any thoughts on a team for the open or how does that work?

Anyone can register for the open. We can scale the workouts if we need to if anyone wants to do it just for fun.

Josh – The CrossFit Open is individuals only. If enough individuals from the same box do well enough then they will qualify their gym to take a team to regionals. So the more people we have in the open the better shot we will have of getting to bring a team.

If you qualify for regionals as an individual your points still count towards your gym for the possibility of taking a team to regionals.

    7-7-6-7-8 (35) @ 63#

Thanks for the push, Jason! you got it stuck in my head that I had to make up for the one round I got less in… so I worked hard for that 8th rep on the last round, and it was pretty painful, but totally worth it! Thrusters get difficult VERY quickly..

8×5 as Prescribed (40). My Apologies to Cody. I thrustered every rep. Pacing yourself was definitely the key.

It’s ok Clayton. I ended up doing thrusters for almost all of them. Very tough workout. Good job on the 40 reps.

5,5,5,4,4 Rx. I hate that squat clean crap. I did it Rx and pushed myself. You only get better if you do stuff you suck at. So all you cherry pickers out there….. come do the wods you don’t want to. It makes you better. I hope, cause I’m hurting today.
