WOD 7/30/12

Find a 1RM Snatch Balance:

 
-then-
12 minute AMRAP of:

7 Strict Pullups
14 Goblet Squats
21 V-Ups

 

 

What has been your favorite event of the Summer Olympics? Which athletes do you find most impressive?

  1. I’ve enjoyed equestrian. The amount of time these athletes have to sit on a horse and prance has got to be ridiculous. Props to them. But in all honesty I have liked watching the Olympic lifting. Having 105 # girls lift 200 is crazy.

  2. 115 snatch balance. 5 rounds @ RX pullups and 45 lbs. KB.

  3. Only got to 45# on the snatch balance. Didn’t think I’d ever done it for a 1rm, but I had…and got 50#. Spent a lot of time fighting stupid clips. Next time. Next time.
    3 rds + 6 pu using red/blue and 35#.

    Missed the weight lifting. Hope it’s on some of the DVR. Really like gymnastics and volleyball.

  4. From a purely athletic standpoint the weight lifting, men’s gymnastics, and water polo. From a viewing standpoint I’d have to say women’s beach volleyball.

  7. 205 snatch balance. 6 rounds + 7 pu. 24 seconds on cash out.

  8. That girl mckayla on the vault. She was flying through so fricking high. Was in awe!

  9. 165 snatch. Five pound pr.

    Five rounds plus three pullups rx.

    35 sec cash out. Don’t do an extra burpee!

  10. Girls gymnastics and beach volleyball are never a bad thing.

  11. Hurt wrist no SB.
    Box jump PR 46″.
    4 rds & 7 pull ups Rx.

  12. 155# on the snatch balance (PR). Started too light and ran out of time. Tried 165# post WOD and failed.

    WOD – 5 rounds RX. V-ups got me. Looks like I need to spend some time on the GHD.

  13. 155# Partnered with Clint, same deal. Tried 165# post WOD and was too tired.

    5 Rounds plus 6 pull-ups RX (Scaled V-Ups on last 2 rounds)
