well tomorrow is day 51 for the burpee challenge… looks like my goal in this 2 minute burpee challenge is to get them all!
August 24th, 2010 - 13:20
Tough one. 115# for first set of five. New PR. Had to drop back to 95 after the walk. 10;37. Decided to do max air squats rather than max burpees. Not sure if that was the best idea but i did 93.
On another note, Stephen’s coaching has really been on point lately. I feel like if there was a board spot on the wall for top coaches he would be on it.

not working out but i have a question of the day…for neal , stephen and any other paleo eaters
i know i ask this all the time it seems.
but since im at school from 9-5 on two days i want to try to bring my lunch so i can save money and eat good. so what kind of meat could i bring in a lunch kit that would be good all day. i guess i can get one of those cold packs to keep whatever it is cold…so i guess im loookin at eatin cold meat??? or something that wont ruin. ideas ????

Thanks jacob. I hope you’re being sincere. That’s sweet.
Jj make sure you eat a good breakfast first so you won’t have to have an entire meal planned. Nuts, seeds, most fruit can be cold or room temp and keep just fine. If you want something more then you will prob need to bring a cold pack for deli meats or any cold drinks.

JJ – I’m at work 12 hrs a day and go thru the same thing. I’ve been buying these pre-made chef salads from HEB (vegetables and some meat, pick the cheese out if you’re staying away from the dairy) and I supplement that with a stack of turkey lunchmeat. Since I’m a hard gainer, I usually eat the cheese and have a couple glasses of choc milk and a piece of fruit. If you’re worried about it staying good all day, you’ll probably have to pack a little ice, it should be fine like that.

JJ – Jerky. Beef, turkey, fish, whatever. It stays good at any temperature and if you’re up to it you can make a lot once a week at your house to save some $$.

Me and stefan did another WOD and forgot about the burpees. I’ll do them with the 5pm. Maybe.

JJ Basic Foods has a few types of canned salmon and chicken (first row left of the produce section) that are good on salads. Like Neal said homemade jerky is a great way to go. The commercial stuff like JackLinks is loaded with corn syrup solids and other additives. If you make it in small batches at home and keep it in the fridge you’ll eat it all before it gets rancid and you don’t get the fillers and preservatives. Make sure you trim off any visible fat. That will help it keep longer.

WOD: 95#, 7:44. Only 26 burpees, as usual, looks were quite deceiving. Also, go to http://www.paleoplan.com, they have quite a few meal ideas and snacks also.

Suggestion for the page if I may. Their should be a checkin on whether or not you are coming to the workout before you are actually able to view the WOD. It would make less people skip the ones they hate without at least some guilt. Just a suggestion, I can stuff it if you like.
